H7Note ("we," "us," "our," or "the App") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use H7Note. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1.2 How We Collect Information
- Directly from you: When you log in with a username, create notebooks, edit content, set language preferences, or invite collaborators.
- Automatically: Authentication tokens are stored locally on your device to maintain your login session.
- From third parties: Translation results are received from iFLYTEK's machine translation service.
1.3 How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:
- Authentication & Account Management: To authenticate your identity via username and maintain your login session using JWT tokens.
- Notebook Management: To create, store, retrieve, edit, search, and delete your notebooks on our servers.
- Collaboration: To enable you to share notebooks with other users and manage collaborator roles.
- Translation: To translate notebook content between supported languages (Chinese, English, Arabic, Persian) via iFLYTEK's machine translation API.
- Language Preferences: To display the App interface in your preferred language and apply appropriate RTL (right-to-left) layout for Arabic and Persian.
- Service Improvement: To maintain and improve the functionality and user experience of the App.
1.4 How Information Is Stored
- Server Storage: Your account information, notebooks, collaboration data, and language preferences are stored on our backend servers at
note.h7group.world. This enables cross-device access and collaboration features.
- Local Storage: Authentication tokens (JWT), user profile information, and UI language preferences are cached locally on your device using the App's secure key-value storage. This enables persistent login sessions and offline preference access.
- Media Files: Images and other media inserted into notes are stored as part of your notebook content on our servers.
Data Deletion: You can delete individual notebooks at any time through the App. When you delete a notebook, it is removed from our servers. If you uninstall the App, locally cached data (tokens and preferences) will be removed. To request complete account and data deletion, please contact us.
1.5 How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Third-Party Service Disclosure: The translation feature is powered by iFLYTEK Co., Ltd. When you use this feature, text content is sent to iFLYTEK's servers. iFLYTEK's handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy, available at
https://www.xfyun.cn/doc/policy/privacy.html. If you do not wish your content to be processed by iFLYTEK, please do not use the translation feature.
1.6 Device Permissions
To provide full functionality, the App may request the following device permissions:

You can manage these permissions at any time through your device's system settings. Denying optional permissions will not affect the core functionality of the App.
1.7 Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information:
- All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
- Authentication is managed through JWT (JSON Web Token) with automatic session expiry and re-authentication.
- Data sent to iFLYTEK for translation is transmitted over HTTPS with HMAC-SHA256 request signing.
- Access to notebooks is restricted to the owner and explicitly invited collaborators.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
1.8 Data Retention
- Account & Notebook Data: Retained on our servers for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. You may delete notebooks at any time.
- Local Cache: Authentication tokens and preferences stored on your device persist until you log out or uninstall the App.
- Translation Data: Text sent to iFLYTEK is processed in real time; translation results are displayed but not separately stored by us.
1.9 Children's Privacy
The App is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.
1.10 International Data Transfers
Your information may be stored on servers located in different jurisdictions. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to servers that may be located outside your country of residence. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your information remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1.11 Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You can view your notebooks and account information through the App.
- Correction: You can edit your notebook content and language preferences at any time.
- Deletion: You can delete notebooks and request account deletion by contacting us.
- Data Portability: You may request a copy of your data by contacting us.
1.12 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, through in-app notifications. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
2. Terms of Service
2.1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using H7Note ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. You must accept these Terms before creating an account or using the App.
2.2 Service Description
H7Note is a collaborative note-taking application that provides:
- Rich-text notebook creation, editing, and management
- Multilingual machine translation of notebook content (Chinese, English, Arabic, Persian)
- Collaboration features allowing you to share notebooks with other users as editors or viewers
- Multi-language user interface with RTL layout support
The App requires an active internet connection for most features, including login, notebook synchronization, collaboration, and translation.
2.3 Account Registration
- You may create an account by providing a username. No password, email address, or phone number is required.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate and lawful information when using the App.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
2.4 User Responsibilities
As a user of H7Note, you agree that:
- You are solely responsible for all content you create, store, share, or transmit through the App.
- You will not use the App to create, store, or distribute any content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- You will not use the App to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
- You will not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, or other users' accounts.
- You will not use the App in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the App's functionality.
2.5 Collaboration Features
- You may invite other users to collaborate on your notebooks by assigning them "editor" or "viewer" roles.
- Editors can modify notebook content; viewers can only read it.
- You are responsible for managing collaborator access to your notebooks.
- When you share a notebook, collaborators will be able to see its content according to their assigned role.
- We are not responsible for any disputes between collaborators regarding content ownership or modifications.
2.6 Translation Service
- The translation feature is powered by iFLYTEK Co., Ltd., a third-party service provider.
- Translation results are provided for reference purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any translation.
- The translation service may be temporarily unavailable due to network issues, third-party service interruptions, API rate limits, or other reasons beyond our control.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the translation feature at any time without prior notice.
- The translation service is intended for personal use and should not be relied upon for professional, legal, medical, or other critical translation needs.
2.7 Intellectual Property
- App Intellectual Property: All rights, title, and interest in and to the App, including its code, design, interface, graphics, logos, and trademarks, are owned by or licensed to us. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the App as described herein.
- Your Content: You retain all intellectual property rights to the notebook content you create. By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you.
- User-Generated Content: You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you upload or create through the App, and that such content does not infringe upon the rights of any third party.
2.8 Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services, including but not limited to iFLYTEK for machine translation. Your use of such third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party services.
2.9 Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
- Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content, including translations.
2.10 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities.
- Damages resulting from service interruptions, errors, or technical issues.
- Damages arising from the use or inability to use the translation feature.
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your content.
- Any actions or content of third parties, including other users and service providers.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
2.11 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless H7Note and its developers, affiliates, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the App.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.
- Any content you create, store, share, or transmit through the App.
2.12 Termination
- You may stop using the App at any time. You may also request account deletion by contacting us.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.
- Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) shall survive.
2.13 Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify you through the App. Your continued use of the App after the changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the App.
2.14 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the relevant jurisdiction.
2.15 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.
